    Love the idea of paper towel on potatoes. Beating/mixing potatoes actually make them paste. Should mash.

    A short TRUE guide to French dinners depending on the region, but in an honest version:

    Southwest: place a duck on the table and the fattest food you can find, sing bawdy songs about sex and drink as much alcohol as you can
    North: put beer in all your dishes, drink a beer while you cook and feel free to proudly say how much you love your sister by drinking your sixth pint
    Northeast: Cook German dishes but better. Drink a glass of Riesling with a weird accent to feel perfectly integrated.
    Northwest: Take a saucepan and melt as much butter as possible in it. Use salted butter or you will be threatened with death. Drink cider and insist that you politically support the left-wing.
    Southeast: Take a fish, put olive oil and garlic on it. During the meal, you can play a traditional Marseille game that consists of placing the word "con" in the conversation as often as possible. The word is normally used as a punctuation mark in this area, but it can also be an emotional nickname or an insult.
    Center: No one lives there and this region does not exist. So you won't need to cook. We sometimes refer to the area as Auvergne to make a joke to foreigners, don't be fooled.
    Paris: Order on UberEats because you are too busy to cook. Insult the provincials and don't tip the delivery man. Do not show that you are poor if you are poor.
