Russians eat some crazy foods during the holidays. In this video two Americans will experience a Russian holiday dinner for the first time.

    That is not how you make herring in a fur coat.
    You don't put cheese in it and you must bake the beats, do not boil them.
    Baking the beats brings out the natural sugars in them and make some taste sweet instead of bitter. Ideally all of the ingredients are baked but you can get away with boiling them to save time if you must, but don't boil the beets. It's like a layer cake, ideally you want to build 6 to 10 thin layers, and let it refrigerate overnight for best results. I recommend using olive oil or avocado based mayonnaise when possible, you're going to want to use enough mayonnaise so that it's kind of like tuna fish salad.

    I'm an American and I fell in love with a Siberian woman and sometimes I like to cook her favorite dishes. I'm also health conscious.

    What the heck? My mom is not Russian, but watching this video made me realize that I have been eating Russian food my whole life. Literally I don't understand how they don't like that food, it's so delicious.

    As a Russian I can tell you that I am a professional eater since it can be New Years or it could be a birthday we will have 90 salads, 70 drumsticks, Pelmeni of all shapes and sizes and enough soups to supply the entire European Union for several months

    Russian "cuisine" is really tasty and healthy.
    Olivye it.s extremely tasty – we have smth like that in Romania. It.s a salad made with boiled veggies with meat and mayo.

    The girl and man in suit, are my least favorite, I hate them so much and don't really know why. They're so annoying during the pink salad we get it you don't like it, don't say 3:14 . Some people enjoy it, even if I don't, I won't say that, EVER.

    My parents were born in Ukraine, but I was in America, and live there. I like fast food, its not bad, but Russian food is so much, more unique, you see there is so many salads in Russia, but in America, its a burger, fries, and soda. Don't get me wrong.
