    What is the difference between this and American goulash it all looks like it's pretty much the same thing and I grew up eating something similar to this but we just called it Beefaroni but this one does look pretty good

    Awesome! Grew up with this in New England. My mom made it just like this. This was served at least once a week for school lunch also! Another good regional dish is Fall River New Bedford style chow mein.

    Add a dash of balsamic vinegar and some smoked paprika powder and this becomes the same as my usual spaghetti bolognese recipe.

    Here in Nova Scotia this was a cheap supper growing up, we called it just Macaroni or hamburger macoroni. Hated it when I was a kid but love it now, simple amd cheap, with a dash of nostalgia.
